LeasingDesk Streamlines Online Rental
Application Process
June 29, 2007
Las Vegas -- LeasingDesk, a wholly owned
subsidiary of RealPage Inc., has just unveiled
an expanded suite of solutions designed to
simplify and expedite the leasing process for
multifamily properties. The offering also
streamlines the execution of leases by
automating processes at the point of the lease.
“This allows owners to execute leases
automatically, online,” Dirk Wakeman, president
of Irvine, Calif.-based LeasingDesk, told MHN
this week at the 2007 NAA Education Conference &
Exposition in Las Vegas, where LeasingDesk
announced the new solution.
Wakeman compared the apartment leasing process
to leasing a car. Many people want the lease
sent to them via the Internet, he said, but a
number of car companies only have the capability
to send PDF versions of the lease, which the
buyer then has to print, sign and fax back to
the company.
“Our new process is automatic, allowing
applicants to sign leases via eSignature, and
execute everything electronically. We recognize
more residents are conducting business via the
Internet, so our new point-of-lease solution
packages every step of the leasing process
online,” Wakeman said.
The expanded suite includes online leasing,
resident screening, electronic lease document
management, eSignature capabilities, a security
deposit alternative and renter’s insurance.
Owners can now enable prospective residents to
compete the entire leasing process online, from
application to a legally binding eSignature, 24
hours a day, seven days a week, from any
location.
The product interfaces with most popular
property management software systems, so owners
can use existing marketing tools to attract
prospects, and use LeasingDesk to execute the
leases quickly. For RealPage users, the solution
integrates easily with OneSite Leasing & Rents
to keep all information centralized and
streamlined.
MHN reported last April that RealPage Inc.
acquired Multifamily Internet Ventures LLC, the
Irvine, Calif.-based parent company of
LeasingDesk Insurance Services, expanding its
risk management offerings.
